Recombinant and Purified Verotoxin 2e, in suspension for

QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION:
Each dose of 1 ml contains:
Active substance:
Recombinant Verotoxin 2e RP ≥ 1.50*
*RP – Relative potency (ELISA).
INDICATION(S):
Active immunisation of piglets from 2 days of age to prevent mortality and reduce
clinical signs of edema disease (caused by verotoxin 2e produced by E. coli) and to
improve their weight performance until slaughter.
Onset of immunity: 21 days after vaccination.
Duration of immunity: 112 days after vaccination in preclinical studies (challenge).
Until the slaughter in clinical studies (seroneutralizing antibodies).
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance, to the adjuvants or to
any of the excipients.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Mild inammation at the injection site that typically resolves within three days
post-vaccination without treatment.
Mild depression during the day of vaccination.
If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this package
leaet, please inform your veterinary surgeon.
TARGET SPECIES:
Pigs.
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Intramuscular use.
Administer a single intramuscular injection of 1 ml in the neck muscles from 2 days
of age.
ADVICE ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION:
Allow the vaccine to reach room temperature (15–25 ºC) before administration.
Shake well before use.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Zero days.
SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS:
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Store and transport refrigerated (+2 to +8 ºC). Do not freeze. Protect from light.
Do not use this veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on
the label after EXP.
